Hello Dancers,
Our first River Cities dance of the season is coming up this Saturday, Oct 30, 2021 from 7:30-10:30pm at the Marietta Armory, 241 Front Street Marietta, Ohio 45750. Music by 5th Street Quartet. Bring your own snacks and beverages, club will provide bottled water & cups of Chex Mix, but no shared snack table will be setup this year due to Covid-19.
Please plan to bring dance shoes or non-street shoes to wear at this venue. The wood floors at the Armory were put in new the last couple years and the city is allowing us to use them without the normal floor coverings they put down for most events, so please make sure shoes are non-marking and smooth to prevent dings.
Since we are so close to Halloween this year, the theme will be a Masquerade Ball, so if anyone wants to enhance their formal attire with elegant hats, masks or accessories please feel free, but this is purely optional! As normal the dance is formal dress, with the gentlemen sporting tuxedos or dark suits and the ladies in formal gowns or cocktail dresses.
The membership drive for 2021-2022 is underway, if you have not renewed your membership or are thinking of becoming a new member,please bring your check to the dance! The yearly membership package is just $225/year per couple and includes all the dances. We still have a single dance price of $60/couple, but it is difficult to plan or survive on single dance income. New members are always welcome!
We are still looking for volunteers for the Dance Committee, I will have a signup sheet at the dance for anyone who wants to help close or open a dance.

The Marietta Armory is located at 241 Front Street Marietta, Ohio 45750. The Armory is a red brick building with parking area to the left side of the building. Entry is also on that side under the porch on lower level, take the elevator and/or steps to the second floor. If you need more directions call my cell.
