Hello Dance Friends,
King Ace Hardware will be hosting the seventh annual “Doo Wop on the Block” on Friday, May 25. It will be another fun and memorable evening for our community and our friends.
We invite you to join us at 6:30 pm in the store parking lot. The street in front of the store will also be blocked for audience seating. This is a free “bring your lawn chair” event and we will once again have an area of the parking lot devoted to dance space. “Remember Then” will take the stage on our loading dock and entertain with the greatest songs of the 50’s and 60’s. We know you will want to move to the music, but the surface is asphalt, so wear your most comfortable shoes.
The party begins at 6:30 with an opportunity for the alumni of local high schools to gather and visit. The Mid Valley Christian School will open their concession for beverages and other food items. Everyone attending will have a chance to win one of several great door prizes provided by Ace Hardware. “Remember Then” will perform from 7:00 till 9:00. If it rains, “Doo-Wop on the Block” will be held in the Middleport Village Hall Auditorium at 659 Pearl Street.
