There is a new event, a fund raiser a la “Dancing with the Stars”. It is “Dancing with the Docs”. Seven Marietta doctors are teamed up with local dancers to do a competition to benefit the Charleston WV Ronald McDonald House which is being rebuilt. Many local families benefit each year from this particular Ronald McDonald House.
The show is Saturday, April 30, at 7:30 at the Peoples Bank Theatre (formerly the Colony Theatre) on Putnam Street in Marietta.

The finest doctors of Marietta are trading in their stethoscopes for a chance to win the infamous Mirror Ball Trophy! Find out on Saturday, April 30th at 7:30pm when McDonald’s of Marietta and ZkFitness present its first annual Dancing with the Docs at the Peoples Bank Theatre to benefit Ronald McDonald House Charities.
Inspired by the hit ABC TV show Dancing with the Stars, Dancing with the Docs will feature 7 Marietta, Ohio celebrity doctors paired with some of the area’s finest dancing professionals, at which the audience will vote for their favorite dancing doctor. Along, with the grand prize Mirror Ball Trophy as awarded by a celebrity panel of judges.
In addition, Dancing for the Docs will feature:
*Professional dance performance by Josh and Stacy Tilford
*Music entertainment by the MHS Vocal Point
*Appearance by Ronald McDonald
*Open cash bar
The event will benefit the Ronald McDonald House Charities in Charleston, West Virginia. This facility is being rebuilt next to the Women’s and Children’s Hospital. Over 100 families per year from the Marietta area use the Ronald McDonald House in Charleston.
