Come and join the Mid Ohio Valley Shaggers at Dils’ Park overlooking the scenic Ohio River, for a laid back afternoon of fun, food, music and dancing. The park has a large, covered picnic shelter in case of rain. You can bring your favorite lawn chair and beverage cooler. We’ll have ice, snacks and sodas and have teh two dance floors, including our wood parquet floor.
Saturday July 26
3 – 11 pm
Dance Steps to be taught by Kevin and Dee Twohig of Charleston at 4 pm. ABSC DJs Tim Miller & Randy Kinsolving will play beach, boogie, and rhythm and blues music from 3 in the afternoon until 11 pm along with a few line dance and “belly rubbing” tunes.
At 6 pm Der Dog Haus will serve hot dogs, burgers, BBQ chicken, pasta salad, fruit bowl, baked beans, and potato salad. MOVS will provide soft drinks and desserts.
Please mail your registration early so we’ll have a good count for dinner.
Directions to Dils’ Riverside Park: Interstate I-77 to Parkersburg Exit #179, follow SR 68 South to SR 14 North. Follow SR 14 North about 1.2 miles (past Grand Central Mall and Walmart). Turn towards the river on paved road between Logan’s Roadhouse and McDonald’s. Turn left after you cross the railroad tracks. Dil’s park is on your right.
