Hello Dance Friends,
Many of you attended “Hardware & Harmony” in 2012 and “Doo Wop on the Block” last year. Both events were an overwhelming success and we have been asked by the officers of the Middleport High School Alumni Association to repeat the event this year, with their sponsorship. We are planning another fun and memorable evening for our community and our friends.
We invite you to join us for “Doo-Wop on the Block” on Friday, May 23 at 7:00 pm in the store parking lot. The street in front of the store will also be blocked and used for audience seating. This is a free “bring your lawn chair” event and we will once again have an area of the parking lot devoted to dance space. “Remember Then” will take the stage on our loading dock and entertain with the greatest songs of the 50’s and 60’s. We know you will want to move to the music, but the surface is asphalt, so wear your most comfortable shoes.
We’ll kick the party off at 7:00 with a program that celebrates memories of area high schools and will include games and prizes. The Mid Valley Christian School will have a concession for beverages and other food items. The band will be performing from 7:30 till 9:30. If it rains, “Doo-Wop on the Block” will be moved to the Middleport Village Hall Auditorium at 659 Pearl Street.
