The Mov Shag Club is holding an “Oldies Dance” on Friday, Jan 13th at the American Legion in Parkersburg.
Here’s the note from the Shag Club:
Shag Club members will get in free, Legion members will get in free and other interested dancers will pay $2.00 each at the door. Randy will be spinning the tunes and we will not do any instruction this week. We are doing this hoping to help the American Legion, they have been so nice to us and we hope to bring in some new people and help support them. I am hoping that our members might be able to invite some of those friends and neighbors who might enjoy a night dancing and maybe we can even recruit some new people who have never seen Carolina Shag. Randy will be playing a mix of music but lots of it will be appropriate for Shag along with various other types of dancing. So if you have some friends or maybe family who never can make a Thursday dance maybe you can get them out for a Friday night. It would be very nice to have a good turnout and I hope we can make this successful to show our appreciation for the Legion. See you on the dance floor
P. S. Just a reminder that if you want to attend our “Pinin’ for Summer” Dance Jan. 27th and 28th at the Parkersburg Country Club. You need to get your ticket orders in, we are limiting sales to 80 and you don’t want to be left out. The Country Club did a great job last year, we have hot hors d’oeuvers on Friday night and a lesson from Kevin and Dee Saturday afternoon and a nice dinner on Saturday night. Flyers are on our website, movshaggers.com and they have the order forms on them. We had a great time last year and hope to build on that this year. Come out and join us.
